The ingredients needed to make Brioche:
- Prepare 450 g flour
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Take 1 1/2 teaspoon yeast
- Make ready 40 g milk
- Make ready 5 eggs
- Make ready 70 g sugar
- Prepare 1 cup butter
Do the same with the other two pieces of brioche dough. Lightly brush each loaf with egg wash, taking care not to let the glaze dribble into the pan (it will impair the dough's rise in the oven). Heat the milk until warm to the touch, but not hot. Mix into the flour mix until combined.
Steps to make Brioche:
- In a bowl add in flour, salt and yeast. Mix well
- Add milk and egg. Mix again for 7 minutes
- Add in sugar and knead for 5 minutes
- Add in butter and knead well for 10 minutes. The dough should be silky and stretchy
- Let it rise for 30 minutes. Put in the Fridge over night to firm
- Divide the dough into equal parts
- Mold them into balls
- Brush butter in pan and arrange them. Cover and let it rise
- Brush beaten egg and sprinkle sugar
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes
