- Take 1 large flour tortilla
- Take 2 oz cream cheese (softened)
- Prepare 4 slices deli pastrami
- Get 4 slices deli swiss
- Get 4 slices deli dill pickles
- Get 2 tbs spicy brown mustard
This recipe makes a lot, and while you can certainly use a smaller piece of brisket. Pastrami has a unique flavor and there are many variations to the spice rub that goes on it. At the heart of most of these seasonings are black pepper These are the main spices that will give your pastrami that unique flavor. The rub should be applied in a thick coating.
Instructions to make Pastrami & Swiss Pinwheels:
- Spread cream cheese on entire tortilla. Be sure to coat the bottom and top of the tortilla all the way to the edges. (Not so much the sides bc you’ll be cutting those off anyway)
- Distribute meat, cheese and pickles over cream cheese.
- Spread mustard over top of pastrami.
- From the bottom, roll the tortilla tight.
- Place a sheet of Saran Wrap down and wrap the roll tightly and place in the refrigerator for an hour to let the cream cheese harden. Remove and slice to your desired thickness and ENJOY!
