Masala dosa or masale dose or masaldosa is a variation of the popular South Indian dosa, which has its origins in Tuluva Mangalorean cuisine of Tulunadu. Steps to make Pesarattu masala dosa:
  1. Soak Green moong dal + Channa dal + puffed rice for 4-6 hours. Less soaking time will give you crispier dosa.
  2. In a mixer grind the soaked ingredients + cumin seeds+ ginger + chilli. Grind it smooth.
  3. Prepare masala as stuffing for pesarattu dosa. You can see my masala dosa recipe for steps. This is optional to enhance the pesarattu dosa.
  4. Now add chopped onions + hing + salt + jaggery to the pesarattu batter and add water if required.
  5. In a dosa pan brush some oil and pour the batter. Add masala on top of it. Roast it on both the sides
