- Cut the chayote squash into cubes and chop the onions into bite sized.Make sure the moongdal is soaked for around 15 minutes and drained.
- In a pan add oil and mustard,once crackled add curry leaves.After add the chillies and wait for them to crackle.
- Add in the onions and wait for them to turn translucent.
- Add in the chopped chayote squash and required salt.cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes once the squash is half cooked add in the soaked moong dal, cover and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Once cooked add in the grated coconut, stir and switch off the stove.
- It’s done!
