  2. Make ready 1 cup Cheddar cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F
  2. Combine flour and baking powder with cold butter. Do not overmix, there should be pea-size chunks of butter in there.
  3. Add cheese, milk and ¼ teaspoon garlic. Mix by hand but don't overmix.
  4. Divide into ¼ cup portions on a cookie sheet
  5. Bake biscuits 15 minutes
  6. Melt 2 tablespoons butter and stir in ½ teaspoon garlic powder. Brush over tops of biscuits.
