  10. Take 4 Sprigs thyme
  11. Make ready 375 ml Lager beer

Instructions to make Beef & Beer Casserole:
  1. Preheat oven to 180*C.
  2. Prep beef, set aside. Prep bacon, garlic leek and mushrooms- set aside.
  3. Fry beef in batches until you get some good colour and set aside.
  4. Add a little more oil and fry leek, bacon, mushrooms and garlic for around 5 minutes or until onion has softened.
  5. Return the beef to pan with flour. Cook for 1 minute and add potatoes, thyme and bay leaves.
  6. Stir in beer and stock, pour into a large casserole dish- cover and bake for 2 hours.
  7. Remove thyme and bay leaves, serve with crusty bread.
  8. Yum! This was so nice! Foodie Josh Collins made a good point to use stout instead of lager. Very true, does give a beautiful rich flavour. You guys must try this one, enjoy!
